Sandbäcksskolan is an F-6 school centrally located in Sjöbo. The school has approximately 350 students. We operate in what we call large classes, meaning we have one class per grade level divided into two to three teaching groups. Each class is staffed with three teachers and a school resource/student assistant who share joint responsibility for students and their development. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to be part of developing tomorrow's instruction and creating the best conditions for student learning? We are seeking an engaged and development-focused special education teacher who wants to play a central role in our work with early intervention, accessible learning environments, and strengthened goal attainment. You independently lead and support the development of pedagogical work to meet students' needs. We seek someone who works systematically and structurally, has strong analytical ability, and is particularly skilled in relational leadership. You will be part of the school's development group together with the assistant principal, lead teacher, and special education specialist. You are also part of the school's pedagogical student well-being team and the interprofessional student well-being team. An important part of your role is conducting assessments and pedagogical evaluations in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. Based on analysis of students' needs, you contribute to identifying successful support interventions and developing instruction. Your role includes: actively participate in the school's work with early intervention and accessible learning environments together with school leadership, drive the school's development work with focus on leadership and stimulation assess, analyze, and follow up on students' needs and learning plan, implement, and evaluate targeted interventions for students in need of support contribute to implementation and development of evidence-based methods for reading instruction coach educators in structured language, reading, and writing instruction provide guidance and support to educators to remove barriers to learning at individual, group, and organizational levels be a qualified discussion partner and advisor on pedagogical matters for colleagues, parents/guardians, and other partners support school leadership in student well-being work and in the school's documentation system collaborate with external actors and authorities when needed observation of student/classroom situations provide pedagogical aids special instruction to individual students/groups during intensive periods.
