JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a special education teacher at Enöglaskolan, you have an important role in the school's work to create accessible teaching, early interventions and increased goal fulfillment for all students in grades 4-9. You are part of the school's student health team together with the principal, special educators, special education teachers, counselor, school nurse and school psychologist. The position is directed toward middle and high school, where you work closely with two other special education teachers. Together you take shared responsibility for students' learning and school development through preventive and health-promoting initiatives at the individual, group and organizational level. You work in close cooperation with subject teachers and the student health team to actively support multilingual students' learning in both classroom instruction and smaller groups. The assignment includes participating in and taking responsibility for student health team meetings linked to different grade levels. The student health team is a forum where student health professionals and educators jointly analyze needs and plan interventions based on student, group and activities. You work both operationally with students as well as with mapping, pedagogical assessments, results monitoring and analysis work. You participate in developing, monitoring and evaluating support measures and interventions. As a special education teacher, you provide qualified support to instruction through coaching, consultation and coordination meetings and serve as an important link between teachers and student health services. You work to ensure that all students are given good conditions to develop both academically and socially. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is certified and qualified for high school and has training in language, reading and writing development and/or mathematics in grades 4-9. You have experience working as a special education teacher and good knowledge of the school's governing documents and are well versed in accommodations, special support and pedagogical assessments. You systematically use students' results as the basis for analysis and planning in order to increase goal fulfillment. You communicate well in speech and writing in Swedish and have good administrative ability. Collaboration with colleagues, guardians and the various professionals in student health services is a natural part of your work. You have experience leading professional development initiatives for staff. Meritorious and personal qualities It is an advantage if you have experience actively working to create motivation in students and thinking creatively and solution-oriented to find new approaches when traditional solutions are not enough. The ability to see possibilities, try alternative approaches and adapt measures based on students' different needs is highly valued. You are confident in your professional role and have a calm, relational and solution-focused approach. You are analytical and have a good ability to identify success factors for students' learning and development. With pedagogical skill, courage and flexibility, you translate ideas into practice and actively contribute to school development. You work independently, in a structured and flexible manner and have a good ability to plan, prioritize and organize your work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
