We are now seeking a Specialist-Trained Nursing Assistant for our psychogeriatric unit at Silverpark in Täby. The position is permanent at 75% with day, evening, and weekend shifts. Your experience and knowledge: The position requires that you are trained as a specialist nursing assistant in psychiatry and/or dementia and have worked several years in elderly care. If you are a BPSD administrator, that is a merit. As a person, you are calm and responsible. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are required. Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required. Otherwise, who you are as a person is what matters most, not your CV. About Silverpark Silverpark is centrally located in Täby with easy access to public transportation. Here we provide support and care to those with dementia or care needs. The operations are run by Vardaga and accommodate 62 residents, of which 18 places are for people with somatic illness, 36 places for people with dementia, and one unit with a psychogeriatric focus that has eight places. It is in this unit that you will work together with an experienced team. Meals and activities are important areas at Silverpark and we have high ambitions in these areas. Silverpark has its own cooks who handle all meal preparation. The range of social activities for residents is extensive and is coordinated by our activity coordinators together with you and other staff members. Dementia Certification: Silverpark is dementia certified, which means that everyone who works here is trained in dementia and communication through the Dementia Academy. Young Care: We collaborate with Young Care. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visit us on weekends and during school breaks. Young Care organizes various activities together with us to enhance the lives of our residents. Animals in Care: Silverpark has a therapy dog named Flora. We apply a needs-based scheduling system. This means that as an employee, you have the opportunity to influence your own working hours based on needs and preferences. We create schedules for 10 weeks at a time. You will have a group manager who spends most of their time working close to you in the facility. As a nursing assistant, you are incredibly important! Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you will learn a great deal about care, aging, and how to treat people with respect. You are closest to the residents and therefore have a key role in the team with nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation.
