The residence is built on one level with an inner courtyard, making it easy for residents to access the yard. Ekliden • Ekliden is located in Kolsva and has a total of 62 apartments distributed across seven units. Four of the units, with a combined 46 apartments, are residences for people with cognitive disease (dementia). JOB DUTIES As a specialist nursing assistant, you will work with us to develop our methods to enable individuals to live as independently as possible. Your role also includes working together with nursing assistants on routine tasks such as personal care, social activities, and support during meals, etc. You create conditions for good quality of life and meaningful existence for residents. You work on assignment from your unit manager and under delegation from a nurse. Other tasks include documentation according to applicable legislation and contact person responsibilities. With your specialized knowledge, you are expected to guide your colleagues and provide support, particularly in BPSD work, from communication to ethical issues. The aim is to encourage dialogue and raise competence across the entire workplace, with the goal of enabling individuals to live as independently as possible. We work according to schedule and have both day and evening shifts, as well as weekend duties. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with people with cognitive impairment and who meets each individual based on their needs and wishes. You are confident in yourself and comfortable working independently and guiding and inspiring colleagues. Being a specialist nursing assistant means continuous development, and we expect you to be engaged in both your own development and that of the operation. We are looking for someone who enjoys staying updated on successful methods and practices used in elderly care, such as in assistive devices and welfare technology. Requirements: • Education as a specialist nursing assistant with a focus on dementia/cognitive impairment • Previous experience in care and social services work • Good computer skills and documentation experience • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Meritorious: • Knowledge in Senior Alert, BPSD, and Life Care • Experience with low-affective communication • Practical experience working as a specialist nursing assistant We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis during the period, and we place great importance on personal suitability in this recruitment.
