We are now hiring a specialist midwife position in the field of obstetric ultrasound. You will be one of seven specialist midwives, each with their specific area of responsibility. This position corresponds to level 5 on Region Stockholm's competency ladder for midwives. The specialist position should contribute to the ultrasound clinic maintaining high quality and developing in line with medical and technical advances, ethical discussions, and pregnant individuals' expectations. The focus of this position is the midwife's area of expertise within obstetric ultrasound. The holder of this position is responsible for implementing and consistently using structured working methods that involve the pregnant person and their relatives at the ultrasound clinic, and for giving the pregnant person and their relatives the opportunity to participate in examinations, with clear information about the purpose and explanations of normal findings and deviations. The holder of this position shall also create forums for collegial support among staff at the clinic to address difficult conversations and ethical dilemmas. The position shall develop and implement quality assurance procedures, including reporting to relevant registers, and feed back national and local statistics to the work group. The holder of this position shall initiate forums for reflective discussions within the work group regarding the clinic's quality metrics with the aim of raising/maintaining high quality in examinations through continued learning. The holder of this position shall monitor training needs among staff at the clinic, support pedagogical development by contributing expert knowledge in ultrasound to mentors and students in maternity/BB care, and coordinate mentoring of prospective ultrasound midwives. Where applicable, also participate in research projects at the clinic. The position entails 20% administrative work scheduled in agreement with your immediate supervisor. Remaining work time is arranged as clinical work in a 24/7 schedule. Weekend duty is included to the same extent as for other midwives in 24/7 operations. Your Personal Qualities: As a person, you are structured, take initiative, and are a good inspirator in daily work. Your Qualifications: Requirements: - Registered midwife with a master's degree or registered midwife with equivalent competence. - Mentor training (7.5 university credits). - Clinical experience as an ultrasound midwife in obstetric ultrasound (minimum 5 years). Meritorious: - Current or previous employment at BB Södertälje and thus good knowledge of the operations. Employment Form: Permanent employment. Full-time or by agreement. The position is based on 80% clinical work as a midwife and 20% administrative work. As a midwife in 24/7 operations, a working time agreement applies with the possibility of a retention bonus (in time) and shortened weekly working hours for night work. If you work concentrated weekends and multiple scheduled nights, you also have the option to earn additional time that can be taken as leisure time, money, or pension provision.
