You will work within the Surgical Department, Wound Center at Södersjukhuset. The Wound Center is an independent clinic and nationally leading in the treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds. Here, physicians and nurses/podiatrists with specialized expertise in wound care work together in teams to provide the best possible treatment. The patient population is varied and often consists of individuals with complex and multifactorial medical conditions, where diabetes and cardiovascular diseases are common. The clinic also conducts research, clinical studies, and education. Educational activities include both an in-house university course and local and regional lectures directed at various professional groups. Job Description We have close collaboration with other departments at the hospital and their specialists, as well as with orthopedic technicians. We continuously work on improvements and changes, including monitoring and developing our working methods. In this role, you will collaborate in a multidisciplinary team with other specialists. You are also expected to contribute to mentoring and training of resident physicians. We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist physician with an interest in multidisciplinary work in wound care. Experience from outpatient work is a merit, as is an interest in orthopedic/surgical day surgery procedures. Your work tasks will include assessing, investigating, and treating patients with difficult-to-heal wounds.
