JOB DUTIES
As a specialist physician with us, you work together with the rest of the team to relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, and provide support to patients with life-threatening illnesses and their loved ones. Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday, plus participation in weekend on-call services (daytime) with telephone standby.
As a specialist physician with us, you will
• make home visits together with a nurse and/or social worker
• operate medical equipment, such as ultrasound, and perform minor procedures at home based on your knowledge and expertise
• provide telephone advice and information to patients and their loved ones
• help develop palliative care and participate in improvement initiatives
• work in close collaboration with home care services
• serve as a consultant to primary care and hospitals as well as the municipality's home care services.

We collaborate and hold internal training within our own unit, and there is an opportunity to participate in the specialist training course in palliative medicine that we offer twice a year. We are flexible regarding the degree of employment. There is also an opportunity for job sharing, which allows you to try working within specialized palliative care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Seeing the whole picture and the context in which each patient and their loved ones find themselves is a large part of our mission.
In the role of specialist physician you should
• be a licensed specialist physician with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare
• hold a B-category driver's license.
For this position, it is meritorious if you are specialized in palliative medicine.

Duration: Permanent, start date: September 1, 2026 or by agreement.
