Specialized psychiatry primarily works with prevention, diagnosis, care and treatment of mental illness and serious mental disorders. All on-call services in the evenings and weekends as well as all inpatient care/involuntary care take place in Sundsvall and also cover Kramfors, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik.
