Our Operations The Section for Addiction and Neuropsychiatry is one of four sections within the Psychiatry department. The section includes two inpatient wards and four outpatient clinics, of which the Northern Region Psychiatry Clinic is one. As part of a university hospital, research and teaching are integrated parts of our operations as well as our evidence-based approach. We focus on care development, care processes, and research, and have our own R&D group attached to our section. You will have the opportunity to develop through stimulating meetings with colleagues and patients, as well as through supervision of students from the medical program, AT, BT, and ST. We work continuously to improve and maintain a good care and work environment, which is why we offer regular continuing education. As a new employee, you will therefore receive a good introduction and have the opportunity to have a mentor. Your Assignment As a specialist physician at the Northern Region Psychiatry Clinic, you will work with specialized psychiatric outpatient care for Tierp, Gimo, Heby, and Älvkarleby municipalities. The clinic has facilities in the four municipalities, and care is provided by one and the same work team. The clinic's assignment includes outpatient care for patients with psychotic disorders, affective disorders, and neuropsychiatric conditions, which offers the opportunity to develop broad psychiatric expertise. We also participate in a comorbidity process and within that framework have close collaboration with addiction care and municipalities. The team at the clinic consists of specialist physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapist, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. With well-functioning systems for remote work, it is possible through agreements to work partially remotely. In Norduppland, we also offer the possibility of flexible working hours, all to make a commuting situation both pleasant and sustainable. On-call and standby duty can be offered but is not mandatory when working in Norduppland. The staff at the clinic are competent and experienced and take great responsibility for patients. The cohesion is good, satisfaction levels are high, and there is an open atmosphere. Collaboration works well both within the physician group and with other professions. As a specialist physician, you are part of the section's physician group which has a common manager, and you participate in both the clinic's physician meetings and the section's physician meetings with colleagues at Akademiska Hospital. Your Qualifications You are a physician with specialist competence in psychiatry and have a broad psychiatric interest. You always keep the patient in focus and have the ability to communicate your clinical assessments and decisions clearly. With your competence and knowledge, you contribute to security in the team and the development of work at the clinic. You are clear in your role and leadership, create participation and engagement in your work group, and take advantage of your colleagues' ideas and show appreciation. As a specialist physician, you can develop in the role, and an assignment as medical responsible physician for the clinic could be a future role.
