BUP Stockholm Section Neuropsychiatry consists of BUP One Way In, plus six neuropsychiatric clinics so far: Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest, and West 1 and 2. In August, we will also launch Southwest 2. Our mission is important and shared: to assess and treat children and young people with neuropsychiatric difficulties. With us, physicians, psychologists, nurses, medical secretaries, and managers collaborate to provide our patients with accessible, effective, and patient-focused care. The work climate at BUP Neuropsychiatry is characterized by a development-oriented approach, high competence, and quality. The units work with medical treatment, assessments, and evaluations where the focus is on neuropsychiatric difficulties. Responsibilities As a specialist physician, your main tasks are to conduct neuropsychiatric assessments of children and young people together with a psychologist according to national guidelines and BUP's process maps, and to initiate medical treatment upon completion of the assessment and follow up on its effects as part of a team with a nurse. You provide support to colleagues during treatment conferences and case assessments based on your profession as a physician. You, like all staff members, are an important part of the team and have the opportunity to contribute to continuous development by participating in the unit's ongoing development work. Currently, approximately 20 other specialist psychiatrists work within the section. At Southwest, you will have 5 other physician colleagues to develop the work together with. We are currently working on a specific project for improved follow-up in medication treatment. Qualifications You should be a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry or adult psychiatry with clinical work experience in the field. You are accustomed to working based on current research and evidence-based methods.
