Are you a specialist physician in child and adolescent psychiatry with a particular interest in the neuropsychiatric field? BUP Neuropsychiatry Nordväst in Solna (Västra Skogen) is now seeking an additional specialist physician colleague to join our clinic. BUP Stockholm Section Neuropsychiatry consists of One point of entry and currently seven neuropsychiatric clinics. The main mission of the clinics is to conduct neuropsychiatric assessments and provide pharmacological treatment for ADHD. Within the section, physicians, psychologists, nurses, and medical secretaries and administrators work in multidisciplinary teams. Currently, approximately 20 specialist physicians work within the section. Together, we strive to provide our patients with accessible, equitable, effective, and patient-focused care. Job Description As a specialist physician, your main responsibilities will include conducting neuropsychiatric assessments of children and adolescents in collaboration with a psychologist, in accordance with national guidelines and BUP's process maps. The role also includes pharmacological treatment for ADHD, in collaboration with the medical team consisting of four specialist physicians, one licensed physician, and eight nurses. Administrative work is supported by five administrators working at the clinic. You will participate in rounds and medical meetings and serve as medical support for colleagues in evaluating medication effects and managing complex comorbidities. Your medical expertise and specialist knowledge are an important part of the team's treatment planning. Collaboration with neighboring care units and other partners, both within and outside the organization, is also a key part of your responsibilities. The clinic also offers opportunities to supervise residents in specialist training. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to actively contribute to continuous improvement and development work both at the clinic level and within the section. There is an opportunity to work remotely to the extent the operations allow and by agreement. Qualifications We are looking for a specialist physician in child and adolescent psychiatry or adult psychiatry. You have good experience working based on current research and evidence-based methods. Experience with neuropsychiatric assessments of children aged 0–5 years is meriting.
