BUP Central Outpatient Care West is seeking an engaged specialist physician who is passionate about our patient group and wants to be part of our forward development. The clinic currently has two specialists on staff, and we now wish to expand the medical team with an additional specialist. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP CÖV) is an outpatient clinic with facilities on Kungsholmen, Serafen. The clinic provides modern child and adolescent psychiatric care at the specialist level. We are responsible for assessing and treating psychiatric illnesses and conditions in children and adolescents, ages 0-17, primarily residing in Hässelby, Vällingby, Bromma, and Ekerö. We offer our patients the right care at the right level according to BUP Stockholm's process maps and the National Board of Health and Welfare guidelines. Our clinic works with subspecialty areas including Small Children (0-6 years) and KOMET, in addition to other child psychiatric activities. At BUP CÖV, you will be part of an environment with broad and specialized expertise. We are a staff of approximately 25 employees, consisting of specialist physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and administrators. We work in multiprofessional teams. The clinic has clear and well-structured work methods and routines for how we conduct our work, as well as good administrative support. The work group consists of experienced staff, many of whom have worked together for many years in BUP's outpatient care. The team is cohesive and well-functioning; we value diverse backgrounds and perspectives and have ongoing discussions about everything in a work climate with a relaxed atmosphere and great access to self-distance and humor. The work group is accustomed to receiving trainee physicians, psychology residents, and all kinds of students and interns from various professions, and the staff maintains a warm, welcoming, and generous atmosphere. Job Responsibilities As a specialist physician, your main duties are psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medical treatment of children and adolescents with mental health conditions. You will be part of a medical team consisting of experienced specialist physicians, trainee physicians, and nurses. The clinic trains resident physicians, which means that as a specialist physician you are expected to provide clinical supervision. As a specialist physician in BUP Stockholm, you will also be included, after standard introduction, in the on-call rotation when needed. Qualifications You should be a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry or adult psychiatry. Experience working in psychiatry or with children and adolescents is advantageous. Personal Qualities The position requires that you are stable and confident in yourself and have analytical problem-solving abilities. You also need to be flexible, have a structured work approach, and have a good ability to collaborate with both patients and their families as well as your colleagues.
