At Clinic 5 within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Värmland, we are now seeking a specialist physician with experience in eating disorders. Together with a multidisciplinary team, you will work with assessment, evaluation, and treatment of children and adolescents. Your Workplace Within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, we serve children and their families throughout Värmland. To provide the best possible care, it is particularly important for us to view our patients in context. This means that the patient's family members should be involved in the treatment process. We also apply the child perspective approach, which means that the child or young person themselves are heard in the treatment. At Clinic 5 - the Eating Disorders Unit - children and adolescents with eating disorders as the primary diagnosis are evaluated and treated. Our mandate also includes providing education, supervision, and consultation to internal and external care partners. We work across the region and conduct eating disorder treatment during daytime hours. We work multidisciplinarily, and the treatment team includes physicians, counselors, nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and nurse assistants. The clinic also has an eating support team where patients and parents can be offered intensive day care. There is also an opportunity to combine the position with other assignments within the service if desired. Clinic 5 consists of a dedicated staff group with extensive experience in treating patients with eating disorders. The unit works continuously on development to create even better care. As a physician, you are an important part of the multidisciplinary team, where you have the opportunity to influence your own work and participate in ongoing development efforts. Your Responsibilities As a physician at Clinic 5, your responsibilities include: Assessment/evaluation and treatment of eating disorder issues, in both outpatient and intermediate care. Supervision of trainee physicians. Collaboration with other clinics within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the inpatient unit, and with other relevant care partners when applicable. Development work in collaboration with other staff members within the unit and monitoring current research in the field. There is also an opportunity to combine the position with other assignments within the service if desired. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are seeking a specialist physician in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Medicine, or Psychiatry.
