Make a difference. Every day. The Emergency Care and Internal Medicine operational area offers a spectrum of exciting challenges and opportunities. The emergency operations are among the largest in the country with over 140,000 visits each year. These are distributed between two emergency departments, one in Lund and one in Malmö. Specialist physicians in emergency care work at both emergency departments and collaborate closely in teams with nurses, nursing assistants, secretaries, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and pharmacists. Welcome to an emergency department led and managed by emergency physicians with a focus on high competence in first-line care, training of future emergency physicians, and research and development of future emergency care. 1 position(s). DUTIES We welcome a specialist physician to the emergency department in Malmö. With us, you care for children and adults of all ages with a broad spectrum of medical and surgical diseases and conditions. Work is scheduled around the clock. You will be an important part of our continued development efforts to be Sweden's best emergency department! The role includes mentoring and training of junior colleagues and medical students. As a specialist, you are also expected to have your own area of responsibility. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed physician with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have specialist competence in emergency care. Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. You must have completed or have planned training in clinical mentoring. Interest in and skill in education and mentoring is a requirement. Research experience is desirable. At a university hospital unit, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and training. This can be acquired through mentoring of, for example, nursing and medical students, physicians in training, and as co-mentor or primary mentor of doctoral candidates.
