The Obstetrics and Gynecology department currently has approximately 90 employees, with the physician team consisting of 8 permanent physicians, 4 specialist registrars, and 1 junior physician.

Your responsibilities
As a specialist physician, you will work with standard duties including on-call services in obstetrics and gynecology. You will help develop the department together with colleagues and other staff.
The island setting requires broad scope of services and 24-hour on-call coverage, and several specialist registrars receive their training here. We have short decision-making processes and a climate that promotes collaboration across specialty boundaries.
Your work also includes supervising specialist registrars and candidates. Exchange of experience with Karolinska University Hospital also provides opportunities for professional development. We organize training in acute obstetrics and CEPS training. We have specialized expertise in obstetric ultrasound, gynecological oncology, and laparoscopic surgery, and are interested in sharing this knowledge.

A holistic perspective, active pursuit of knowledge, and interest in working as part of a team with other professions are important fundamental requirements. We seek someone who wants to develop their specialist knowledge and is motivated by being a knowledge resource for others.
