The Work and Behavioral Medicine Center (AB-centrum) is a university healthcare unit whose overall mission is to prevent, investigate, assess, and address work-, environment-, and lifestyle-related health problems. We also have an insurance medicine mission. AB-centrum is one of Region Västerbotten's largest research and development activities, with research and teaching conducted in close collaboration with Umeå University. AB-centrum is organized into four departments: Work and Environmental Medicine, Behavioral Medicine, Stress Rehabilitation, and Insurance Medicine Investigation Unit (FMU). 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES Under the Insurance Medicine Investigation Act (SFS 2018:744), the region shall provide insurance medicine investigations to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan). Within FMU, we work with activity capacity assessments (AFU) according to a standardized method established by Försäkringskassan. As a specialist physician with us, you will work with AFU in an interdisciplinary team with a psychologist, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. The investigation should result in an activity capacity profile that not only describes functional limitations and activity restrictions but also highlights the insured person's remaining capacity for activity. The physician's mission is clearly defined, and you will conduct in-person visits where you meet with the insured person. Work in other departments at AB-centrum may occur. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a specialist physician in general medicine, psychiatry, or another relevant specialty applicable to this mission. It is desirable that you have worked several years as a physician where you have encountered individuals with complex issues involving pain and mental health problems. Försäkringskassan's advanced training in insurance medicine is required to issue AFU statements and will be provided if needed. We value that you are flexible, structured, have good collaborative skills, and see people as a whole. You thrive with teamwork as a large part of the mission involves making assessments together with other professionals. You should have experience writing clear, well-substantiated written statements and be able to plan, structure, and perform your work tasks within planned investigation time. You have language skills equivalent to Swedish level C1. The mission can be performed on a full-time or part-time basis and can be combined with other work tasks within Region Västerbotten. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Employment Type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent. You do not need to submit your physician's license and specialist credentials as we will verify these with the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen). If your qualifications have not been reviewed by an expert previously, this must be done before taking office in accordance with Regulation (1998:1518) on qualifications for certain positions in healthcare, etc. Therefore, the following documentation must be attached to your application: 1) Scientific qualifications (if applicable) a.
