Clinical assessment at a distance and digital care visits are developing rapidly and are an important part of ensuring good, accessible, and nearby care in this area. The health station model, which is an important starting point for close-to-home care, shapes both the approach and working methods in the daily operations. Dorotea, Vilhelmina, and Åsele health stations are part of the same base unit and are located in southern Lapland, approximately 50 kilometers apart. The nearest hospital is in Lycksele, where the region's ambulance helicopter is stationed. Our health stations function as well-equipped mini-hospitals with access to acute care beds, X-ray, ambulance services, and laboratory facilities. Our use of telemedicine is well developed. We have occupational therapists, midwives, physiotherapists, social workers, physicians, psychologists, secretaries, nurses, and nursing assistants. We provide acute care as well as routine health center services and have well-developed collaboration between all professional groups and with municipalities. We collaborate with universities and accept students. We also collaborate with the Center for Rural Health, an area of high priority with exciting development work underway. We are now seeking a Specialist Physician in General Medicine for our health station in Dorotea. Work across the entire base unit may occur, but your primary workplace will be at the health station in Dorotea. 1 position(s). WORK RESPONSIBILITIES As a specialist in general medicine with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. The units are popular among trainee physicians, and supervision is an important responsibility. In your role as a specialist in general medicine, you follow your patients throughout their lives. You meet people of all ages with all types of health-related issues and independently perform assessment and treatment. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed physician with a specialist certificate in general medicine and with experience in or interest in primary care. Experience in rural medicine and interest in supervision and supervisor training are merits. You are a present and positive person who, with expert knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic perspective that makes the care process better and safer. You are a confident person who contributes to good collaboration through your excellent communication skills and respectful manner. The work requires independence and the ability to solve problems and make ongoing decisions in the right order. As a person, you can handle parallel tasks. You are solution-focused and can adapt to changes in working methods and operations. You thrive working in a team where lack of pretense is key to being able to help, learn, and lift each other up.
