We are now seeking a specialist physician for our occupational health and work environment services. As a physician with us, you will have varied and independent work with a clear occupational health perspective. You will work with occupational medical assessments, medical examinations, work-related rehabilitation, work capacity evaluations, and matters concerning harmful use and addiction. The role also includes advising managers and HR personnel, as well as preventive measures such as vaccinations and guidance on exposure and infection risk. For those with the right qualifications and experience, there is an opportunity to combine the position with a role as Medical Director, MLA, and take on a central role in quality assurance and development of the unit's medical work. About You We are primarily seeking a licensed physician with specialist competence in occupational medicine or occupational health. We are also interested in specialists in other relevant clinical fields, such as general medicine, who wish to develop expertise in occupational medicine. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity for further training in the additional specialty of occupational medicine. Experience in occupational health, medical examinations, work-related rehabilitation, employer consultation, or medical quality and development work is meriting. You are confident in your profession and have a genuine commitment to the relationship between work, work environment, and health. You see the value of contributing your medical expertise to create sustainable work environments and promote health in working life. You understand that the physician's role in occupational health differs from the traditional treatment role in healthcare by balancing the individual's and employer's perspectives and providing professional support from an independent and neutral standpoint. Your assessments and recommendations are based on science and proven experience. You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as well as a category B driver's license. Your Future Workplace Work Environment and Health is Region Kalmar's internal occupational health service and an independent expert resource in occupational health and rehabilitation. We work promotively, preventively, and supportively with the connections between work, work environment, organization, and health at the individual, group, and organizational levels. At our unit, physicians, occupational health nurses, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists/ergonomists, and occupational health engineers work together to support managers and operations throughout Region Kalmar. Our unit is part of the Regional Office, which consists of 150 employees with expertise in economics, law, HR, communication, planning, coordination, sustainability, safety, infection control, and hygiene. Everyone works to develop the organization and improve conditions for the residents of Kalmar Region. Within our respective areas of expertise, we also provide support to Region Kalmar's leadership, managers, and departments.
