As a technical specialist in signals at the Swedish Transport Administration, you will help make everyday life easier for residents and businesses throughout Sweden. You'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to exciting and varied railway projects across the country. We're looking for someone who is passionate about signal technology and wants to develop in a role with significant responsibility and many stakeholder contacts. Job Responsibilities As a signal specialist, you'll be part of a section where you, together with other BEST specialists, support projects from the planning phase to completed facility in the role of client. You'll help develop assignment descriptions for consultant and contractor assignments, and set project and contract requirements and monitor these within your specialist area. In certain projects, you'll also take on the role of coordinating specialist for BEST, which means you represent the entire BEST area and coordinate it. Your job responsibilities include: - Provide technical support in signal technology for railway projects. - Act as coordinating specialist and support projects with coordination within BEST. - Be knowledgeable in regulations, requirements and standards, and participate in updates and development of technical documents, standards, etc. - Follow developments and keep yourself updated within your specialist area. - Contribute to knowledge transfer between completed and newly started projects. Qualifications You are a person with good analytical skills who develops solutions from a holistic perspective. You take independent initiative, plan and structure work, and then collaborate with others to find solutions that benefit all parties. You look at the entire organization, are communicative and adapt your communication to the recipient, explaining your message in a simple and clear way. We are looking for someone who has: - A technical university degree or university education in signal technology within railways, or other education combined with current and relevant experience that the Swedish Transport Administration considers equivalent - Many years of relevant and current experience working with signal technology within railways - Knowledge of the Swedish Transport Administration's regulations and requirements dealing with signal technology - Good skills in Swedish, spoken and written It is meritorious if you have: - Experience in signal design - Production technical experience within railways - Experience working in a coordinating role - Knowledge of other parts of BEST (track, electrical and telecommunications) - Knowledge of contract law AB, ABK and/or ABT - Good skills in English, spoken and written Other Information Do you want a flexible day with the opportunity to work from home?
