The Surgery and Anesthesia Clinic specializes in advanced surgery within the gastric and intestinal field. Today we perform approximately 4,900 surgical procedures per year. About the Role
The position is an employment as Chief Physician in upper gastrointestinal surgery at Ersta Hospital. On-call activities are included in the assignment.
The activities encompass large volumes of elective upper abdominal surgery, with primary focus on bariatric surgery, gallbladder diseases (including ERCP), achalasia, and GERD/hiatal hernia. In addition, we treat abdominal wall hernias and inguinal hernias. Minimally invasive surgery is a central part of our approach and is performed extensively using both laparoscopic and robot-assisted techniques.

Your Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
Swedish medical license and specialist certification in surgery
Clinical experience corresponding to at least three years of active full-time service after obtaining specialist certification
Good knowledge and experience with patients in upper GI surgery
Experience in bariatric surgery and on-call competence are merits.
