Job Responsibilities As a specialist in telecommunications technology, you'll have a central and advisory role throughout all project phases. Telecommunications technology within railways is a broad and varied technical field that includes fiber optic installations, cables and multiducts, copper cable installations, traffic information equipment, transmission equipment, radio systems, detectors, and camera surveillance systems. You'll work closely with project managers and other technical disciplines, using your technical expertise to contribute to robust, reliable, and well-functioning solutions for Sweden's railway infrastructure. Your main responsibilities include: - Developing technical requirements and documentation in various project phases - Participating in procurement and following up on deliveries - Providing qualified advice within telecommunications technology - Coordinating technical support within the system area as needed - Reviewing and quality-assuring suppliers' technical solutions - Contributing to the development of working methods, regulations, and standards - Capturing and sharing experiences within the organization - Participating in and initiating research and development projects You'll be part of the Technical Systems unit within the Technology and Environment department in the Investment business area. Work takes place both regionally and nationally, which involves travel based on project needs. Qualifications Who are you? You have good analytical skills and develop solutions from a holistic perspective. You take initiative, plan and structure your work, and collaborate with project managers, colleagues, and other technical disciplines to find well-functioning solutions. Since this role is advisory in nature, you're communicative and can adapt your communication to your audience. You have the ability to explain technical matters in a simple and clear way and consider the entire organization's needs. We're looking for someone who has: - Technical education from a university, college, or vocational school—or alternatively other education combined with relevant work experience that Trafikverket considers equivalent - Several years of current, relevant, and practical experience working with telecommunications technology in railway projects, or other experience in the field that Trafikverket considers equivalent - Driver's license for personal cars (Category B) - Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written It's advantageous if you have current and relevant experience with: - Contractor and consultant law - Fiber technology - Working according to AMA - Working with other parts of BEST-K, such as track, electrical, signaling, or drainage - FRMCS - Coordinating roles, such as work supervisor, project manager, or similar Additional Information Possible work locations: Borlänge, Eskilstuna, Gällivare, Gävle, Gothenburg, Halmstad, Härnösand, Jönköping, Karlstad, Kiruna, Kristianstad, Linköping, Luleå, Malmö, Norrköping, Skellefteå, Skövde, Stockholm, Sundsvall, Trollhättan, Umeå, Uppsala, Västerås, Växjö, Örebro, Östersund.
