The Swedish Defence University's Security Department is now seeking a specialist with a focus on information security. We are looking for you who have a genuine interest and knowledge in security and security protection. About the workplace The Security Department is organized as part of the institution's operational support and includes preparedness, crisis preparedness, security protection, and operational security. The position is part of the security protection and operational security area but may also be engaged in other areas. The employment is located in Stockholm. Responsibilities Your responsibilities include managing information security including information security in and around information systems, and you will be responsible for developing and implementing security requirements based on security protection legislation. Analysis work and advisory services within information security will also be part of your responsibilities, as well as developing methods and processes. In this role, you will have many contact points and collaborate with internal and external partners. You will work closely with the IT department. Through environmental monitoring, you keep yourself updated within your area of expertise. You will also participate in security protection analysis and security protection planning. Your responsibilities include: developing and implementing policy documents for information security analyzing security incidents participating in IT projects to integrate security in system development conducating training within your field working with security protection analysis and security protection planning Responsibilities may change over time as operations develop. You will work closely with the security and security protection manager. Who are we looking for? We are looking for you who have: relevant academic degree or other education/work experience that the Swedish Defence University considers equivalent multiple years of current work experience in qualified security protection work within information security relevant knowledge of security protection acquired through education or work experience knowledge of security standards such as ISO 27001 very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish It is meritorious if you have: experience leading projects in building and security technical matters current experience conducting security protection training knowledge of NATO regulations for information security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH experience working with risk and/or security analyses ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical users experience working with security frameworks, intrusion detection tools, firewalls, and encryption technologies experience with specific security protection assessments prior to system deployment experience with cyber/IT security work experience working in the public sector, preferably from government agencies and/or universities and higher education institutions The qualifications stated above must be verifiable upon request through certificates, references, and work or selection tests. Personal qualities It is important that you have good judgment, a professional approach, and high integrity. The strategic level of the work requires high analytical ability where you should be able to identify and describe shortcomings and problems, while being pragmatic and solution-focused. You are organized and comfortable working both independently and in groups in an event-driven operation where you can plan, prioritize, and deliver with a flexible approach. You lead and organize your work forward and take own initiatives from a holistic perspective. The work requires good collaboration skills and the ability to build good relationships, and you find it easy to collaborate with different professional categories. You actively contribute to a good working climate in your team. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. About the employment This is a permanent full-time position, which begins with a six-month probationary period. The employment involves placement in a security classification. Upon placement in a security classification, security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Swedish citizenship may be required. The employment may include wartime placement. If you are already on wartime placement in your current employment at a government agency and your competence is needed in the Swedish Defence University's wartime organization, negotiations will take place between the relevant agency and the Swedish Defence University regarding where you will be placed.
