Would you like to contribute to developing and strengthening physical security in a public agency with vital societal responsibilities? We are seeking an experienced specialist with strong knowledge of security matters who wants to take a central role in driving, coordinating, and developing physical security work. Our Workplace The Procurement and Market Department is responsible for the Swedish Public Employment Service's procurement contracts and office lease agreements. The Facilities Planning Section has national responsibility for planning facility changes and budget responsibility for the agency's lease agreements and procurement contracts for property-related services. The section also has specialist responsibility for physical security and physical work environment. In the section, facility strategists negotiate lease agreements, specialists in physical work environment and physical security, service managers for procurement of property-related services, and business partners who work closely with the agency's regions and departments and conduct pre-studies before facility changes. Job Description As a physical security specialist, you play a central role in driving and developing the agency's work in this area. You contribute to strengthening and maintaining robust security capability by developing structures, working methods, and requirements that meet operational needs. The unit is responsible for developing, designing, and monitoring the agency's work on physical security based on the agency's strategic security governance. This means practically being responsible for planning and implementing governance and monitoring compliance with policy documents and instructions, as well as being able to provide a picture of implementation status when it is not fully completed. The role also involves setting requirements and providing qualified advice to operational managers and security representatives on physical security matters. You also contribute support to the Facilities Supply unit in interpreting and applying security requirements in connection with facility adaptations, for example in the design of functional programs, drawings, and overarching requirements for security installations. Work takes place in close cooperation with the agency's other security areas, such as personal security and information security, which are centralized in the Security, Risk and Preparedness unit and report to the Management Staff. You are also involved in the agency's preparedness planning work, contributing to both the development of requirements and implementation. More about Working with Us Basic Qualifications - University education with focus on security or other education or experience considered equivalent - Current knowledge of legislation and governance within the security field, as well as application and monitoring of governance within physical security - Several years of experience in setting requirements and providing advice to managers in the field of physical security - Good knowledge of regulations regarding security classes, alarm classes, lock classes, and building regulations Other Merits for the Position - Experience from work within public administration - Operational experience with security technology and installations - Other work experience from other security areas, for example personal security, information security, and security protection - Knowledge of evacuation and fire protection The state values framework guides us in our daily work.
