Job Description As a Procurement Specialist in the IT department, you will have an important role in driving and supporting the authority's journey toward a more digital prison and probation service. As a specialist, you are responsible for operational contract management and procurement, as well as supporting the organization with special orders and direct purchasing. You actively contribute to improvements within the procurement area and coach and/or lead the work of developing substantive content and structure for both procurement and framework agreements. You will actively collaborate with the procurement unit on contract matters. You are a link between operations and suppliers and work according to a collaboration model, with the aim of developing cooperation and ensuring that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service achieves its goals for quality, cost, and delivery times. The work involves many different points of contact, meaning you will collaborate with procurers, administrative/project managers, managers, and others. Qualifications For the role of Procurement Specialist, we are looking for someone who is calm and attentive and works well with others. You see the bigger picture and consider the broader perspective while planning and organizing your work efficiently, making sound judgments and prioritizations. We are looking for someone who has: Post-secondary education focused on procurement or economics, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant Experience in the procurement field Knowledge of LOU (the Public Procurement Act) Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish It is also advantageous to have: Certification of ongoing training in relevant knowledge areas Experience with public procurement according to LOU (the Public Procurement Act) Experience with supplier monitoring Experience with SUA (Security-Protected Procurement) Basic knowledge and understanding of IT/digitalization.
