Primary care in Region Jämtland Härjedalen is part of Division Close Care, where primary care, ambulance services, psychiatry, and public dental care collaborate. This provides excellent conditions for coordinated care, short decision-making paths, and professional dialogue between departments. Since 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated – an important step in the work toward good and accessible care, where the patient's needs guide the organization of care. 1 position(s). WORK ASSIGNMENTS As a district physician with us, you work broadly within primary care assessing, investigating, treating, and advising patients with varying symptoms and medical questions. The assignment includes both acute and scheduled patient contacts and is characterized by a holistic perspective on the patient's needs. The work also includes health promotion and prevention measures, individually and in groups, as well as close collaboration with other professions at the health center. Duties within child health clinics (BVC) and medical responsibility for special accommodations will be included. You work evidence-based and use varied work methods, including individual patient meetings, group activities, and digital contacts via the internet, with the goal of offering accessible, good, and close care. Working conditions are designed to be sustainable over time. On-call and standby service is included approximately once per month and is based at Strömsunds Health Center. There is an opportunity for remote work for administrative tasks and flexibility in scheduling that can be adapted to the needs of the operations and your life situation. The ambition is clear: this should be work that is sustainable over many years. For those with extensive experience and an interest in contributing beyond clinical work, there are good opportunities to take on greater responsibility. This could include mentoring trainee physicians or medical management responsibilities. In parallel, long-term development work on rural care in Strömsunds Municipality is underway, which is now being formalized and is planned to span several years. QUALIFICATIONS Swedish license and specialist qualification in general medicine. Since we work in rural areas, a driver's license is beneficial. Primary care is a healthcare unit within the Region's Health and Medical Care Administration where undergraduate medical education and research are conducted. This means that all applicants undergo expert review by the research and development responsible person prior to any employment. Due to this, the application must include the following documents: - A structured CV - Certificate of medical degree from the institution(s) where the physician completed their basic education. This also applies to physicians trained in other EU countries and countries outside the EU. - Credentials certificate from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. - Specialist competence certificate from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. - Documented supervisor training - If applicable, certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or Docent, including date of dissertation defense and dissertation title. - If applicable, complete and updated publication list. - Certificate/documentation of teaching experience and any other pedagogical merits. - Any additional documented qualifications regarding, for example, clinical knowledge/experience, clinical development work, management experience, and anything else the applicant wishes to highlight as meritorious for the position sought.
