Your Workplace Oncology is a specialty in constant development. To meet today's and tomorrow's challenges, we need to expand our operations and are now seeking specialist physicians/ST physicians in oncology. Our oncology clinic includes an oncology outpatient clinic, chemotherapy clinic, radiation therapy department, palliative care team, and an inpatient ward for oncological and specialized palliative care. Chemotherapy clinics are also located at Arvika and Torsby hospitals. The oncology clinic has approximately 150 employees. The physician group consists of 33 physicians, of which 11 are ST physicians. If you are an ST physician, you are expected to take responsibility for your development toward specialist competence, with strong collegial support along the way. As an ST physician, working closely with our ST study director and your supervisor, you will develop an individual development plan that meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's objectives. Your Work Tasks As a physician in the oncology clinic, you will be offered broad and varied work with assignments in the inpatient ward, outpatient clinic, and radiation therapy department. We have on-call services during day and evening hours as well as weekends. For ST physicians, introduction to on-call work occurs in stages with support from experienced colleagues. Specialist physicians have the opportunity to take an active role in the development of operations and contribute with mentoring and knowledge transfer to younger colleagues. Rotations for ST physicians can be conducted both at the university hospital and at Central Hospital in Karlstad. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for you who are a licensed physician and have good knowledge of Swedish corresponding to level C2. You enjoy working in a team and having close collaboration with other healthcare professionals and specialties, where you communicate clearly and distinctly to create good understanding and cooperation. To thrive in the role, you need to enjoy taking initiative and have ease in adjusting your approach when circumstances change.
