Description
The main function of the administration is to convey knowledge and create conditions for students to acquire and develop knowledge. The education shall promote students' development into responsible individuals who actively participate in and develop professional and community life. It shall contribute to students' comprehensive development.
This position is a substitute role during the regular teacher's leave of absence with the possibility of extension until 2027-06-16. Depending on qualifications, the position may be split between two roles.
Specialty Sports Teacher
- Physical work including participation in training sessions to work closely with students in their athletic development.
Recruitment takes place during the application period.
Job Responsibilities
- Teaching in the subject of specialty sports.
- Work individually and in teams.
- Plan, conduct, and evaluate students' practical training and theory.
- Work closely with students and monitor their development through regular individual conversations.
- Collaborate with the school and the specialty sport's sports federation.
- Work according to agreements with the ski federation, including participating in further training and certain competitions.
- Participate in the school's systematic quality work.
- Follow the ski gymnasium's training philosophy, training structure, and policies.
- Training camps and competition activities are included in the position.
Qualifications
We would appreciate if you have teacher certification as a specialty sports teacher or equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent. Please attach your teacher certification with your application.
- Federation training in cross-country skiing.
- Higher education in sports.
- Experience as a leader in cross-country skiing.
- It is meritorious if you have been active in cross-country skiing at a high level, preferably internationally.

The Gymnasium Administration
The Gymnasium Administration is part of a joint board for Mora, Orsa, and Älvdalen municipalities. The administration is responsible for upper secondary education and adult education in the three collaborating municipalities. We are a school with high competence among staff and good results among students. We focus on students' knowledge development and have strong confidence in teachers' abilities. The activities currently include 14 national programs, introductory programs, sports gymnasium, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, Swedish for immigrants (SFI), and distance higher education studies. The school has approximately 1,100 students in youth upper secondary education and approximately 600 students in adult education.
