Special Education Teacher Internationale Engelska Skolan is now seeking a special education teacher to start in December 2026. Internationale Engelska Skolan in Östersund is a bilingual school for students in grades F-9. We are looking for a special education teacher with strong commitment to student learning, health, and development. The role includes working to maintain effective student support services to help students progress toward the educational goals. - Main responsibilities include: - Assessing student and group needs - Working directly with student(s) in small groups - Planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions - Participating in the school's systematic quality improvement work Qualifications: We are seeking someone with Swedish teacher certification and further training in special education, or experience in special education. You have previous experience working with children and young people. Previous experience as a teacher and special education teacher in primary school is an asset. Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required for this position. The role requires that you are confident in your professional role, can work independently, are proactive, and have a strong ability to see opportunities in different situations. As a person, you have good communication skills and strong ability to plan and prioritize your work. You have good teamwork skills and an interest in working collaboratively with different professional groups. Your approach is relational and focused on promoting health and prevention. You are flexible, responsive, and skilled at building trust and strong relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We place great importance on your personal qualities.
