About You Qualifications High school diploma or other education deemed equivalent by the employer Swedish driver's license with at least category B and completed probationary period Strong ability to read, understand, and express yourself in spoken and written technical Swedish, as this is a prerequisite for completing the training and being able to understand traffic and vehicle instructions Good health, including normal vision and hearing according to the Swedish Transport Agency's regulations (TSFS 2019:113) Meritorious Driving experience in city traffic, preferably from professional driving Documented work experience Experience from service roles or customer-facing positions Knowledge of the Gothenburg tram network Knowledge of languages other than Swedish We are looking for someone who is confident, responsible, and has good judgment. You are safety-conscious and understand the importance of following procedures, instructions, and safety regulations in your work. You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks. You are service-oriented, flexible, and able to stay calm even when circumstances change. Through professional conduct, you help our passengers feel safe and welcome. Our passengers expect good service and punctual tram service. Therefore, you need patience and be able to manage stress well even when traffic doesn't run as planned. The job involves significant personal responsibility for both the tram and passengers. To work as a tram operator, you must also meet the Swedish Transport Agency's medical requirements for safety-critical personnel. To be offered a place in the training program, you must participate in and pass all parts of the recruitment process. The process includes an information meeting, interviews, work psychology tests, a visit to the depot, reference checks, health examination, and drug testing. We have multiple training start dates and recruit continuously. This means that a job offer may be made before the final application deadline. We are currently recruiting for a training start in January. This job posting is for full-time positions only. Probationary employment applies. During training, you will be employed on a fixed-term contract at a salary of 33,100 kr per month. After successful completion of training, there is an opportunity for higher placement on our salary scale if you can document prior work experience according to applicable criteria.
