The Company... Åkerblads Hotel & Guesthouse is a hotel located in beautiful Tällberg, Dalarna. Since the 1400s, the hotel has been owned by the Åkerblad family, and today the 19th-22nd generation of Åkerblads work together with a strong team to provide guests with an extraordinary experience. Experiences are what we deliver to our guests, from the moment they check in until they long to return to the shimmering waters of Siljan. We strive to be unique with our offerings, and perhaps that is why the hotel today features 73 unique and personally decorated rooms. The restaurant works with locally produced ingredients and personal flavors, serving both conference guests and weekend guests. The hotel is currently classified with four stars and is focused on continuous development where quality is one of the cornerstones. Our Spa department consists of 3 therapy rooms, 1 duo treatment room, 1 hydrotherapy pool, and a spa suite with its own bubble pool and sauna. Together with the newly added pool area featuring a pool, hydromassage pool, and outdoor pool, we also have a well-equipped gym and exclusive locker rooms with sauna. Dry relaxation areas and a pool bar are also new additions to our SPA. Your Responsibilities... As SPA Chef, you will have a driving role and lead the work in our spa department. In addition to performing treatments, you will be responsible for ensuring that therapists are available for booked treatments and that treatment rooms are clean and fresh. You will work closely with our reception, as treatment bookings are handled there. You hold ultimate responsibility for ensuring this department maintains the same high standards as the rest of the hotel. In your role as SPA Chef, you are also part of the company's management group and work closely with the owner family. The role also includes scheduling, responsibility and work allocation to therapists, budget planning, procurement, and inventory. Most of your working time will be spent on treatments. We require that your formal background includes certification as an authorized skin therapist and/or spa therapist with approved education (SHR and CIDESCO). You have experience in spa, wellness, or health—it is important that you can take your own initiative and are prepared to work weekends and holidays.
