Furuvik Havshotell is located right by the water with fantastic views over the sea. The hotel's restaurant Havskrogen is the heart of the experience and welcomes guests year-round. Here we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with the goal of creating culinary experiences throughout the year, from summer season to Oktoberfest, Halloween, and Christmas buffet. About the role We are now looking for a sous chef with your own ideas, genuine commitment, and the desire to develop both the operation and the people around you. Here you'll combine creativity, leadership, and culinary passion in a restaurant with great variety throughout the year where no season is like the other. You'll have a role where you both lead in day-to-day operations and have the opportunity to influence, develop, and put your mark on Havskrogen. As sous chef at Havskrogen, you are a key person in the restaurant team, both as a leader and as a natural part of the team when things get busy. You work closely with restaurant management and have an active role in developing our operation. Your ideas and initiatives are welcome and we'd like to see you contribute to making Havskrogen even better. We believe the best guest experiences are created by employees who enjoy their work, develop, and take pride in what they do. The role includes, among other things: Lead and support the team in daily work during service Ensure high quality in food, service, and guest experience Be an active part of operations and support where needed Work closely with restaurant management and contribute to operational development Work with planning between seasons, for example menu development and structure Handle ordering, inventory, and time reporting Contribute ideas and initiatives that develop Havskrogen over time About you You are an experienced restaurant leader and chef with a feel for food, drink, and people. We believe you: Have experience as a sous chef or in another leadership role within restaurants Are an engaged leader who inspires and gets the team to perform their best Bring ideas, see opportunities for improvement, and take initiative Are flexible and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment Have a natural sense for economics in your daily work Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing Restaurant education is a merit but not a requirement.
