Southeastern Scania Rescue Service (SÖRF) was established in 2000 and includes the municipalities of Simrishamn, Sjöbo, Tomelilla, and Ystad. The service employs approximately 170 staff members, of which 45 are full-time. The organization consists of one full-time station and six part-time stations. SÖRF envisions a firefighter who can and wants to work with many different tasks and vary them throughout their career. Positions SÖRF needs to strengthen staffing in Ystad with firefighter positions in the full-time force. We also need to cover maternity leave and are therefore seeking a one-year temporary position. Full-time firefighters currently work five rotating shifts with divided days and overnight shifts on weekends. The position involves primarily 80% operational service and 20% operational time. This amounts to 42 hours per week with service around the clock, in accordance with Appendix R. Since a firefighter at SÖRF works within a broad spectrum of tasks, we welcome applicants with experience in training, project work, and other relevant competencies within the basic work areas of the rescue service. Qualifications · Required qualifications ◦ Approved full-time firefighter training ◦ Approved SMO training (protection against accidents) ◦ Part-time firefighter training (RIB) with several years of experience ◦ Other rescue training that the employer finds equivalent · Meriting qualifications ◦ Good understanding of rescue service operations ◦ Supervision/Prevention A is meriting ◦ Experience in project/team management is meriting ◦ Category B driver's license is required, Category C is meriting Duties may include but are not limited to: · Operational service in shift teams · Responsibility for capability development within a subject area or sub-area · Support for training and exercise activities · Prevention and regulatory authority activities Start Date and Scope Start date by agreement between employer and employee. The position is permanent at 100%; trial employment may be relevant depending on previous experience and competence.
