Bräcke diakoni is now recruiting summer interns for Västergården, a care and residential facility for people in the prime of life with dementia (cognitive impairment), where you will help create security and meaning in the daily lives of our residents. Your Job This Summer As a summer intern at Västergården, you will meet people under 65 years old with cognitive illness, in work where relationships are just as important as care. Together with colleagues, you will contribute to a safe and active daily life, adapted to each person's circumstances. You will work scheduled periods during the summer, between weeks 24-32. Hourly positions are also available. You will, among other things: - Organize activities outside the residence, such as outings and walks - Support residents in daily routines, such as meals, rest, and community activities - Participate in social activities - Provide support in personal care - Document and carry out medication delegation – after training and supervision from our on-site nurse - Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals around the residents Who We're Looking For You want to work part-time alongside studies or other employment. Perhaps you are studying to become a nursing assistant or nurse – or already have experience. At Västergården, we are looking for someone who is calm and organized in your work approach, attentive to residents' needs, and enjoys teamwork. You invite dialogue and want to help the resident participate in their daily life. We also seek hourly interns, which is often a pathway to longer-term internships and permanent positions. Qualifications - Experience in care work, from employment or internship - Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written - Basic computer skills and ability to document digitally - Previous experience working in residential care and with people with cognitive illness is a merit Bräcke Care and Residential Home Västergården Västergården in Gothenburg is a residence for people in the prime of life who are under 65 years old and have cognitive illness.
