WORK TASKS We have 10 positions left in the following areas: Elderly Care, care and support housing (nursing homes): The work tasks consist of personal care such as assisting with toilet and shower situations, dressing and undressing, distributing medication, assisting with meals, and service tasks such as laundry, simple meal preparation and social interaction. The facilities arrange various activities such as playing games, reading books, listening to music, playing bingo, reading newspapers, baking, cooking, spa, etc. Elderly Care, regular housing (home care): The work involves supporting people in their own apartments, row houses, villas. The work tasks consist of personal care such as assisting with toilet and shower situations, dressing and undressing, distributing medication, assisting with meals, and service tasks such as laundry, simple meal preparation and social interaction. Large parts of the work are performed independently. We have both bicycle and car districts depending on which home care area you work in. Support for Persons with Disabilities (group home, service housing, short-term care for children and youth, and personal assistance): At a group home, a number of residents live in their own apartments. Your work tasks include being responsible for care and supporting them with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, laundry, meals, cleaning, community contacts and support with leisure activities. Alternative communication methods such as pictures, signs and symbols are used in the work. Service housing is a middle ground between independent living in your own apartment and an apartment in a group home. Here you serve as social support and help residents get structure in their daily lives. A difference from a group home is that care work tasks are less on a service housing. At short-term care for children/youth, families and relatives get relief by having the child/youth at the facility for one or more days on weekday or weekend, or through leisure activities on mornings, afternoons and school breaks. The focus is on social interaction, activating children and youth, and some care. As a personal assistant you work independently and the job can include extensive care tasks such as dressing and undressing, help with toilet and shower situations, transfer assistance with lift, catheter flushing, PEG handling, tube feeding and use of breathing mask. You also support with meals, medication and other household tasks, and participate in leisure activities, social interaction and shopping. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily looking for you who have completed or ongoing care training, childcare training or other equivalent education. Alternatively, we are looking for you with experience working with people in need of support or experience from service professions. You should be engaged and curious about the work and have a high sense of responsibility. Furthermore, you should be responsive to residents' needs and have a genuine interest in helping other people. You must master the Swedish language both spoken and written so you can communicate with residents but also to be able to document events and other information in your work. It is very important that you can cooperate well with other colleagues and that you contribute with flexibility and joy of work. If you have experience and knowledge of alternative communication methods, that is also a plus. Some digital skills are also required as much of the work - both your work schedule and documentation - is handled via apps. A B driver's license is required for several of the vacant positions, while cycling experience is sufficient for others. We also see that you should be able to work irregular hours, which means working during the day, evenings and weekends.
