Do you want to work with advanced software testing where hardware and software meet? We are now looking for a software tester with experience in HIL environments who wants to be part of verifying complex systems with high demands for quality and safety. About the Role We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced software tester who wants to work with advanced technology in the aerospace and defense industry. In this role, you will be an important part of ensuring reliability, functionality, and performance in complex systems. As a software tester, you are responsible for planning, developing, and conducting software testing. You work on developing test plans and test cases, conducting tests, and analyzing and documenting results. You will work closely with engineering teams and other technical functions to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, as well as ensure that the software meets established requirements for quality and safety. A central part of the role is work in Hardware-in-the-Loop environments (HIL), where you use test rigs to simulate real-world conditions and verify that the software functions according to specified requirements. In addition to practical testing work, you will also contribute to developing test processes and working methods. You are expected to be able to identify improvement opportunities and provide recommendations that contribute to higher quality and more efficient testing. Your Profile We are looking for someone with experience in software testing who is comfortable working in a technically complex environment. You have a careful and analytical work approach and are motivated by understanding how different parts of a system interact. At the same time, you are solution-oriented and have a knack for collaborating with others, both within your own area and across functions. You have previously worked with software testing in, for example, aerospace, the automotive industry, embedded systems, or other relevant technical activities. You have experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop test rigs and technologies such as dSPACE or equivalent. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of test methodology, test processes, and relevant test tools. We also see that you have experience with test automation and scripting languages, as well as a good understanding of software development processes. Experience working with technical documentation is an advantage. Mandatory Requirements: • Experience in software testing within aerospace, the automotive industry, embedded systems, or other relevant technical environment. • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and working with test rigs, such as dSPACE or similar. • Good knowledge of test methodology, test processes, and test tools, as well as experience with test automation and scripting languages. • The assignment is placed in a security classification. Prior to employment, you must undergo a security clearance and be approved according to applicable regulations for security protection. This may entail requirements for certain citizenship. Merits: • Experience with DO-178C or similar standards and work with safety-critical software. • Experience with both high-level and low-level testing in complex embedded systems.
