Electrical Technician - Maintenance at Söderenergi We are now seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for the Maintenance Department of Electrical & Automation. In this role, you will work to maintain and improve the facility's production availability through preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, instrumentation, environmental monitoring, and automation systems. You will work with everything from routine service tasks to troubleshooting and advanced renovations. Assignments will come to you through a maintenance system managed by schedulers, and you are expected to take ownership and manage tasks responsibly. The role includes on-call duty during evenings, nights, and weekends. On-call duty follows a rotating schedule (6-week intervals) and requires you to be able to respond with short notice (approximately 60 minutes) to perform troubleshooting and emergency corrective maintenance. Since you will work in a combined Electrical and Automation Department, experience in automation, environmental monitoring, and instrumentation is an asset. Primary Responsibilities The primary responsibilities are to maintain and improve the facility's equipment availability by: Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and supporting instrumentation technicians and automation engineers. Actively contributing to the department's goals, departmental and site KPIs, and completing assigned weekly plans to the best of your ability and within available resources. Actively working on quality and environmental improvement measures both within and outside your direct responsibility area and across departments. Assisting in planning spare parts inventory and preparing work on equipment for which we have maintenance responsibility. Independently reporting and logging time and planning maintenance activities in consultation with our schedulers in the maintenance system. Actively maintaining a good collegial and safe culture in all assignments and in collaboration with the department and across departmental boundaries. Participating in the on-call duty group. Your Profile To succeed in this position, you must be ambitious, responsible, have strong initiative, and be safety-conscious. You are self-driven and have no problem looking beyond your immediate tasks to identify problems through your own ownership approach. You are also a team player with a genuine interest in working with both people and technology in a large maintenance department with electricians, environmental monitoring specialists, automation engineers, and instrumentation technicians who collectively possess broad and deep expertise. There are excellent opportunities to develop your skills across all these technical areas. You must have a secondary education with an electrical engineering focus or equivalent. You need good knowledge of Swedish and English as well as good IT skills and openness to change. You must be able to read and understand technical drawings and documentation. Experience from similar positions or equivalent industrial maintenance work is a merit. A valid driver's license (category B) is required.
