A new preventive unit within social services has been launched.
This initiative means that the municipality's preventive work is gathered and strengthened to enable us to meet the needs of children, young people, and families earlier and contribute to a more accessible social services. The new unit, the Preventive Unit for Children and Young People, is part of the municipality's work to meet the new social services act, which emphasizes early interventions, preventive work, and increased accessibility.

DUTIES
We are now seeking two new team members for the Preventive Unit, as one of our colleagues has moved to another position and because we are expanding the operation with a full-time position. Would you like to be part of our preventive work?
These two advertised positions are directed toward the School Social Services Team, whose mission is to contribute to good conditions for all children to thrive and succeed in school. By being part of the School Social Services Team, social services strengthens the statutory responsibility to work preventively to prevent children and young people from suffering harm and to create conditions for trust-building and supportive work at an early stage.
The goal is to strengthen children's attendance, achievement, and sense of security in school through team-based work.
Development work is ongoing between the Social Administration and the Preschool and Primary School Administration to implement the School Social Services Team together.
For the School Social Services Team, we are now seeking two social workers who, together with designated staff from the school, will work operatively primarily in the school environment. The work should be early-focused and conducted close to children and their guardians and networks, as well as close to school staff, student services, social services, and other actors. The assignment will also include contributing to the development of the forms for School Social Services Teams in Varberg Municipality.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has education that the employer considers equivalent. You need to have experience with family work and a special drive to work with children in school environments. It is an advantage if you also have experience in exercising authority regarding children and young people.
It is important that you are a persistent team player who is confident in your professional role and contributes both your own expertise and takes responsibility for the team's mission as a whole. Recognizing the necessity of and enjoying collaboration and cooperation is a requirement. You also need to have a good ability to create trusting relationships and have a holistic perspective where you understand and have empathy for others' perspectives.
We would appreciate it if you are also interested in structured development and improvement work and feel comfortable taking initiative and are willing to try new approaches.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
