Job Responsibilities For our work team in Västerås, we are now looking for you who are motivated to help and support children and youth with mild to moderate mental health challenges and their families at an early stage. You will conduct assessments and treatments with children and young people ages 5-18 years. A large part of the work consists of individual treatment conversations and group interventions. Part of your work with treatment and assessment can also take place through digital channels. It may also be relevant to staff our phone reception where shorter assessment conversations are conducted. Collaboration with care neighbors occurs. We are in a development phase and have received an expanded mandate with the goal of serving even more children and youth. About the Workplace Children and Youth Health is part of the Close Care area within the Health and Medical Care Administration. We are tasked with receiving children and youth with mild to moderate mental health challenges at the primary care level. The activity is regional across Västmanland County and collaborates with all health centers in the region. We who work at Children and Youth Health are psychologists and social workers with basic psychotherapy training. We are a non-medical operation that meets children and youth with mental health challenges and their parents for assessments and shorter treatments. We strive to always be at the forefront regarding treatment methods and keep ourselves updated with new research in the field. We also work on finding new working methods to reach more people, for example through digital meetings and internet-based treatments. Qualifications You who are applying are trained as a social worker. It is meritorious if you have basic psychotherapy training. We view positively if you have previous experience with evidence-based assessment and treatment work directed at children, youth, and families. If you have experience working with schools, within primary care, or similar activities, we also view that as meritorious. Experience with the Cosmic record system is meritorious. Our work is governed by documents that are often in Swedish and you therefore need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You also need to be able to handle a computer as a work tool in your daily work. A B-class driver's license is a requirement.
