The Social Services Department provides support to Botkyrka residents and is responsible for administrative duties, primarily according to the Social Services Act. Support is provided to both individuals and their families. The Social Services Department has a special responsibility for children, youth, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. As a preschool social worker, you work closely with preschool activities with a focus on early and preventive interventions for children and families. The role is consultative and involves contributing social services expertise to strengthen the preschool's work with children in need of support. You do not work as an educator or with administrative duties in the facilities, but rather function as support to educators, principals, and guardians in matters concerning children's development, care situations, and concerns about children. Through your experience in social work with children and youth, you contribute knowledge about early signs of vulnerability, risk and protective factors, and the need for coordinated support measures. The role requires that you can build trusting relationships and handle complex situations in a professional and secure manner. Your main responsibilities are to: conduct supportive and guidance conversations with guardians and connect relevant actors to identify any support needs. provide support to preschools in situations where there are concerns about a child. guide educators and principals in preparing for difficult conversations with guardians. help strengthen knowledge about early signs of vulnerability and children's support needs. plan and implement information and capacity-building initiatives such as ABC and FÖS. facilitate parent support groups together with educators at the preschool. coordinate with internal and external actors regarding children and families. You work closely with preschools in Tumba, Hallunda, and Norsborg with significant on-site presence. The role is relationship-building and outreach-oriented, involving contribution to developing work methods that strengthen early and preventive support for children and families. About You You have a social work degree and several years of experience in social work with children, youth, and families within the social services field. You have worked with support for children and families in situations involving concerns about children, coordinated intervention needs, or complex family situations. Other Requirements for the Position: Experience meeting guardians in complex life situations. Experience collaborating with different activities and professions. Experience with documentation and clear communication in speech and writing in professional contexts. We consider the following as merits: Experience with administrative duties within social services. Experience working in or near preschools or schools. Training in Signs of Safety. Knowledge of intimate partner violence and trauma-informed care. Experience conducting training or capacity-building initiatives for preschools or other activities. Experience working in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas. Experience implementing parental support programs such as ABC, Komet, or FöS. As a preschool social worker, you are relationship-building and collaboration-oriented. You build trusting relationships with guardians, educators, and other collaboration partners and have a work approach characterized by responsiveness and respect. The role requires that you enjoy working closely with other professions to together create early and coordinated support around the child and family. You are also structured and solution-oriented in your work approach. You can plan and prioritize your work based on the activities' needs and handle matters requiring both flexibility and professional judgment.
