Do you thrive in a case handling role where you get to investigate matters? Now Socialstyrelsen is recruiting lawyers for fixed-term positions, where the need may cover one or more roles. About the Position The National Board of Health and Welfare's Responsibility Committee (HSAN) reviews cases regarding license revocation, etc. for healthcare personnel based on reports from the Inspectorate for Care Services (IVO) or applications from a professional. The Committee is a government agency operating under procedures similar to the courts. The Committee's composition and organization are outlined in Chapter 9 of the Patient Safety Act (2010:659). Socialstyrelsen, a central government authority in the healthcare sector, among others, is the host agency for HSAN. This means Socialstyrelsen performs administrative and case handling tasks for HSAN and is responsible for matters such as personnel issues. HSAN's office is located at the Unit for Qualification 3 in the Department for Qualification and Government Grants. In your role with us, you will investigate and handle cases regarding probation periods, license revocation, and limitations on prescription rights, as well as draft decision proposals in consultation with the chair/vice chair and present cases at HSAN, and perform other tasks for the Committee. In addition, you will handle requests for public records, maintain contact with other agencies and stakeholders, and provide legal support on matters related to the agency's qualification activities. The role also includes participating in preparing official responses and participating in improvement work. About You The work requires great attention to detail and the ability to organize and structure extensive material. You must have excellent communication skills, good initiative, a solution-oriented approach, flexibility, and strong collaboration abilities. You are accustomed to working at a fast pace toward set goals and have good organizational skills. During recruitment, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You will work from the office at Västerbroplan in Stockholm, but have the option to work remotely up to 2 days per week. In spring 2027, we are moving to new premises in Solna Strand. Your job title will be Lawyer and you will be placed in the Department for Qualification and Government Grants, Unit for Qualification 3.
