The Social Services Department provides support to Botkyrka residents and is responsible for the exercise of public authority, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and their relatives. The Social Services Department has a special responsibility for children, young people, and adults in need of support under social legislation. We are approximately 500 employees who, using strength-based approaches, provide support to Botkyrka residents in an equitable, fair, and secure manner. Read more about the Social Services Department here: https://www.botkyrka.se/dinbastaarbetsplats The Position and Your Responsibilities We are looking for a social worker for adult investigations who will work motivationally with people aged 18 and older with mental health issues, harmful substance use and addiction, as well as other social problems. The role includes support with everyday functions such as housing and contacts with healthcare and authorities. You have an active and flexible assignment where you meet people in their daily lives. You follow up on welfare notifications and LVM notifications and work closely on ongoing cases where needs can change over time. The work consists largely of motivational work with people who have mental health issues, harmful substance use and addiction, as well as close collaboration with colleagues within the Social Services Department and with external partners. The work is characterized by structure and legal certainty to ensure that the right support measures are put in place and followed up. Your main responsibilities: guide people to services without individual needs assessment. work motivationally to strengthen individuals' empowerment. collaborate with other units within the Social Services Department. increase the social services' presence in the community. participate in counseling, support, and navigation within the welfare system. perform simpler public authority tasks on delegation according to the Social Services Act. focus on early and easily accessible interventions. You – The Ideal Candidate You have a degree in social work or another equivalent college degree with courses in social law and social work. Additionally, you have at least two years of work experience in social work. Other requirements: • Experience working according to SoL, LVM, and OSL. • B-class driver's license. Merits: Experience working with this target group. Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI). Experience with public authority work in the adult area. Experience with outreach work. Knowledge of LSS and experience working with people 65+. Experience working with people with mental health issues, harmful substance use, and/or addiction. In this role, you need to be responsible, service-oriented, and committed to finding practical solutions. You take initiative, drive work forward, and have a genuine interest in supporting people in vulnerable situations. You form relationships easily and are active in building contacts in your daily work.
