Social Secretary for Planning Toward Self-Sufficiency
2 position(s). Are you ready for the future? We are – and now we're looking for you! Within the Department of Work and Welfare in Kristianstad, we are embarking on an exciting transformation journey. Our vision is clear: A department – ready for the future! We are developing our organization to meet the needs of the future and create even better conditions for our citizens. From April 2026, we will be working in a new organization – focused on modern, sustainable, and legally sound welfare. Today, approximately 480 dedicated employees work with us, making a difference for people in different stages of life every day. Together, we create security, participation, and opportunities. Now we are looking for more employees who want to be part of our transformation journey. Are you driven, curious, and want to contribute to meaningful work? Then you might be the person we're looking for! Your role with us We are looking for you as a social secretary who wants to make a difference for people who are far from the labor market. Your assignment as a social secretary is to support and guide people toward self-sufficiency, a role that gives you a meaningful and rewarding workday. By working closely with clients in their development, you ensure they get the tools and support they need to succeed. The path to self-sufficiency looks different for everyone, and the task is to work with the client in the phase they are in. Through FIA interviews, you and the client get a shared picture of what the path to self-sufficiency should look like for that specific client. It could be support to get started in an activity through the municipality's labor market initiatives, but it could also be that the client is at the beginning of their planning, in which case your task could be to initiate various forms of cooperation with other actors such as healthcare and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. If you are new as a social secretary, you will receive an introductory program to quickly get into the job with support from your team leader, mentor, and colleagues to facilitate your path to independence in your work. You will participate in study visits within the department and have regular check-ins with your team leader and unit manager, where there is time for reflection. In addition to this, you will participate in consultations and cooperation. You will also receive both external and internal training and learn about JP, procedures, guidelines, and handbooks to ensure you get the knowledge needed for the role. Who are we looking for? You need to have a degree in social work or another degree that the employer considers equivalent. We want you to have studied social law, either as part of your education or through standalone courses. If you also have experience with governmental authority exercise, that is an advantage. Communication and documentation are a large part of your work tasks, and therefore it is important that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to write clearly and structurally, and you adapt your communication to your target audience. It is also positive if you can communicate in additional languages, and if you have insights into other cultures, that is a great plus. You have good knowledge of the Office package and other digital tools, which you use to seek information and develop your knowledge. Additionally, you find it easy to learn new systems and feel comfortable with different digital communication methods. To succeed in the role, you are an unpretentious person who finds it easy to work with people, which means you are good at listening, showing empathy and respect. You can collaborate, create, and maintain good relationships, both within and outside the organization. You stand for good ethics and sound values, and you actively work to promote equal opportunities both within the organization and in society. We want you to have the ability to take initiative and make sometimes quick and clear decisions, both independently and in collaboration with others. The ability to analyze and assess data and come to well-founded conclusions and find solutions. You can plan and organize your work and ensure that things get done. Following instructions, guidelines, and legal requirements, while always adhering to schedules and deadlines, is a matter of course for you.
