Skärholmen is seeking a social secretary for our Reception Unit for Children and Youth. In the Reception Unit for Children and Youth, we receive concern reports, applications, and are responsible for initial contacts and assessments. We're looking for someone with a strong child perspective who wants to contribute to a safer everyday life and better conditions for children and youth. Your role The assignment involves customary work in our reception unit for children and youth. The new Social Services Act, which came into force on July 1, 2025, represents a shift toward a more preventive, accessible, and knowledge-based social service. Social services should shift focus from authority exercise and reactive measures to proactive, preventive support. In connection with this, we have a focus to: introduce open interventions without extensive needs assessment strengthen early interventions for children/youth increase coordination and working methods for improved accessibility and trust in social services The reception unit is the face of social services to the outside and provides advice and information to the municipality's residents and various collaboration partners. This may mean that you, together with your reception colleagues, participate in meetings and conduct outreach efforts, such as visiting schools to inform about social services' work and responsibilities. The work also includes developing and strengthening collaboration with other actors around children, such as schools, preschools, and health and medical care. The work involves authority exercise according to the Social Services Act and the Act on Care of Young Persons (LVU). Your competence and experience A degree in social work is required for this position. The following are meritorious: Experience with authority exercise within social services, especially in the child and youth field Documented knowledge in BBIC and Signs of Safety Documented knowledge in EARL and/or SAVRY, Conversation with Children and/or MI Very good communication skills, that is, the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing in the Swedish language You find it easy to build trust and enjoy the role as a link between different activities. For the assignment, it's important to have good analytical skills where you succeed in creating structure in a complex context. With focus on long-term goals, you work independently and transform analysis into concrete interventions. You need to have good ability to express yourself both in speech and writing, document, and compile decision support materials. Meeting our children and their families in conversations is an important part of the work. Our goal is to give Skärholmen's residents fair and good treatment in their contact with us.
