About Us At the Reception and Adult Unit in Lilla Edet, seven social workers are employed, three and four in each respective group, with a Senior Social Worker providing daily support. We are now seeking a new colleague for our reception team. The reception team handles incoming reports and applications concerning children, young people, and adults. They are often residents' first contact with social services. The reception team is also the gateway for other authorities to access individual and family services in Lilla Edet. The work consists of short processes, a high degree of service and accessibility, and no two days are alike. You need to enjoy that the day's content cannot be predicted. Our reception is characterized by professionalism, good collaboration, high quality, and a child rights perspective. You work based on several pieces of legislation, primarily SoL, LVU, LVM, and LBSB. Your Role Your tasks include preliminary assessment of incoming reports concerning children, young people, and adults, investigating urgent housing and other urgent protective measures, and conducting statements in various types of cases. Daily responsibility is staffed with corresponding responsibility for incoming calls by phone and/or walk-in visits. When you have daily responsibility, you are also expected to complete work on urgent processes for the day. The work requires a high degree of professionalism and the ability to sort information, make well-founded decisions, and prioritize tasks where quick decisions are often needed. You have your colleagues and close management support in this. Our service hours mean that our Mondays are longer, which are compensated by shorter working hours on Fridays. We have flexible hours that can be used when operations allow. Collaboration internally with other units and activities within the municipality occurs daily, and cooperation with other authorities such as healthcare, police, and the correctional service is also common. Since our reception work is built largely on working together, you need to be comfortable and secure in having close working relationships with your colleagues, where lack of pretense and curiosity are important components. Who Are You? To work with us, you must have: A degree as a social worker or other education that the employer deems appropriate according to Section 25, Chapter 1, SoL. Experience working with authority exercises within social services. Be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Have a B-class driver's license. You should also have the ability to be self-directed in dialogue with your manager and colleagues. You are organized and have a good ability to establish contact with people in acute and vulnerable situations. You enjoy working together with others as well as independently, and you are creative and courageous. You can vary your pace and adjust your working methods depending on who you meet.
