At the Reception Unit, Children and Families, 15 social workers, three senior social workers, and one unit manager work together. The majority of the team has extensive experience in reception work and investigations within the Children and Families field. It is a stable unit where people enjoy working together and are helpful to one another. We value both independent work and collaboration with colleagues. Since you will often be the first point of contact for children and families, we place great emphasis on respectful and present-focused interactions. We have a clear child perspective in our work and strive to identify families' strengths and their own solutions. At the Reception Unit, we handle reports and applications, conduct protection assessments and preliminary assessments. We conduct consultation meetings with parents, children, collaboration partners, and other professionals. Providing information about concern reports and social services' work is part of our mission. We collaborate with other units within the administration and with other authorities. There is an opportunity to specialize in different areas and participate in various groups, such as Violence in Close Relations, youth, younger children, substance abuse, and more. You will have access to close and knowledgeable management as well as be offered professional development based on both the unit's needs and your own development. You will also participate in external supervision together with your group. All those working with authority activities, children, and families are located together at Lergöksgatan 2A, which promotes collaboration around the child. About You We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. We consider it a merit if you have previous experience working with authority activities within children and families. A class B driver's license is also considered a merit. As a person, you are flexible and adapt your work approach easily to changed circumstances and new information. You have a good ability to remain calm in difficult situations and a good ability to collaborate with others to carry out the reception unit's mission. You contribute with respectful interactions and value a good work environment and are a helpful colleague. You have a good understanding of social services' shared mission and act accordingly, contributing to the whole. You follow existing procedures and guidelines and document your work in a legally secure manner with high quality. You plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently. You are attentive to those you meet and strive to understand their situation and needs. You show respect and care in your interactions and are skilled at communicating information and ideas, both orally and in writing, and adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.
