To the Children and Family Unit, we are now seeking an engaged social worker for our reception function for children and youth aged 0-20 years, as one of our dedicated social work professionals is retiring. Here you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for children, young people, and their families through important work in the social services' first contact with the individual. You will work with receiving and assessing incoming reports and applications, as well as conducting preliminary assessments and contributing to ensuring that the right support and interventions can be offered at an early stage. With the support of clear processes and close collaboration with colleagues, you will work to ensure lawful and quality case management where the child's best interests are always at the center. In the reception function, you will have a varied and developmental role where you meet children, young people, and their families at an early stage and make important assessments regarding need for support and protection. You will be an important part of ensuring that children and young people receive the right support at the right time. Because we are a smaller municipality, we work together across operational boundaries. This means you will gain experience from more parts of the operations than what is often possible in larger organizations. The assignment includes close collaboration with colleagues, guardians, and other professionals, both internally and externally, always with the child and family's best interests in focus. This is a permanent full-time position (100%). About the Operations We at the Children and Family Unit look forward to welcoming you as our new colleague! The unit consists of a unit manager, a group leader, three social workers in the reception function, five social workers working with investigations and follow-up of interventions, a case manager for foster-placed children, and two social workers responsible for foster care, family law, and contact secretary activities. We invest in your development. You are offered external supervision once a month, regular case supervision in groups, and close support in your daily work from both the group leader and unit manager. You work in modern premises in Nykvarns municipal building within walking distance to the train station and with free parking. With Mälartåg, you can easily get to Nykvarn if you use public transport. We share premises with the Adult Unit, which creates good conditions for close collaboration when families' needs span multiple operational areas. Qualifications Requirements: You have a degree in social work (socionomexamen) You have several years of recent experience in investigation work since graduation You have experience with placements according to SoL and LVU You are secure and stable with a high degree of empathy and a positive mindset You are flexible and have good collaboration and initiative skills You must be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish You have a driver's license You are attracted to working in an exciting developing municipality where you want to be part of driving development work Meritorious: You have experience working in a reception function within the field of children and youth You have experience with and interest in development issues, quality assurance, collaboration, and team-based working methods You have experience working according to the Signs of Safety approach With us, you will have the opportunity for professional development, as this is an area we actively work with. Other Information Nykvarns Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider it a merit if you speak Finnish. For this position, you must have a category B driver's license.
