The Social Services Department is responsible for individual and family care, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities. We work preventatively with support, services, and statutory authority for children, young people, families, adults, elderly, and people with disabilities. The Adult Section is part of IFO/Social Services Department. The section includes the Reception Unit, the Social Psychiatry Unit, the Unit for Dropouts, Substance Abuse and Domestic Violence, and service delivery units. In Huddinge, we are steering toward an accessible social service, and the fact that the statutory authority-exercising units in sections sit together creates good conditions for a holistic perspective and coordination. The social service in Huddinge Municipality shall work to ensure that the individual experiences the support as coordinated. Services and service shall be characterized by a holistic view of the individual and coordination with other actors shall be ensured. The Reception Unit consists of an experienced work group consisting of social secretaries, case managers, group leaders, and a unit manager. About the Job The Reception Unit's primary work tasks are to offer our Huddinge residents a way into the section within the framework of preliminary assessments. You can turn to the Reception Unit if you want to apply for support based on substance abuse problems, mental disability, and/or domestic violence, or if you want to report a concern for someone. The Reception Unit is responsible for receiving, handling, and assessing new reports and applications. Determining municipal residence is a large part of the work. We are proud of our high accessibility and flexibility to reach those who need social services support before problems become large, and we have a strong focus on advice, guidance, and information. As a social secretary at the Reception Unit, you work according to the Social Services Act, LVM, LUS, and guidelines in accordance with applicable delegation regulations. The work also includes staffing an on-call phone, participating in information meetings, staff meetings, and SIP. Investigations concerning custodial care, responsibility undertakings, driver's license statements, and handling LOB and LUS are also part of daily work. The work is based on a holistic perspective on the individual and takes place in close cooperation with your colleagues, group leaders, and collaboration partners internally and externally. We work with continuous development to improve, streamline, and adapt our working methods. Your Profile You have a degree in social work and preferably have experience with statutory authority from one or more of the target groups that the Reception Unit works with. In your work, you will meet people with different backgrounds, needs, and circumstances daily, and therefore you need to have personal maturity and an approach characterized by respect. The work requires sensitivity to the individual's needs and involves close cooperation with colleagues, other units, and professions. The role also involves independent work, although it always takes place with support from your manager and colleagues, and it is therefore important that you are both responsible and good at structuring your work. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You have pedagogical ability and adapt your way of conveying messages to the recipient.
