WORK TASKS Work with financial assistance is built on two parts. On one hand, we work to ensure that people have a reasonable standard of living, and on the other hand, we support people in becoming self-sufficient. In this work, you will meet people in different life situations, and your assignment is to investigate their right to assistance, develop an appropriate action plan together with the client, and motivate them toward change and independence. There is a strong focus on ensuring everyone receives the right support based on their individual circumstances. To make this even better, we collaborate with the Employment Unit (AME). Our goal is for the measures and methods we use to strengthen people's self-determination and facilitate their path to self-sufficiency. Parliament has decided on a new activity requirement for adults receiving financial assistance. The aim is to strengthen the path to self-sufficiency by offering meaningful employment and increasing opportunities for work or studies. This work has begun in our municipality, and the law took effect on July 1. We have made significant progress in digitizing our applications and processes. This frees up time from the administrative aspects of the work. We use this time to strengthen social work around people who need substantial support to become self-sufficient. We value respectful and good service, lawful case management, and faith in people's own capacity. You will be part of our work team, which currently consists of a team leader and seven social workers working with intake and implementation. Together with the work team and the Employment Unit, you will help shape future support for those we serve. The methods we use include: - Establishing action plans and implementation plans together with each individual - Measures via the Employment Service, AME, the Älv and Kust Coordination Association, and our own rehabilitation activity Åbacka trädgård. - Collaboration with other units and partners through, for example, SIP, resource group work, or multi-party meetings. - IPS method. QUALIFICATIONS You have a degree as a social worker (socionom) or other relevant higher education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working at a social office is meritorious. Previous experience working with financial assistance is meritorious. You have a positive approach and see the value of collaborating with others so that each person receives access to appropriate support in their unique situation.
