Welcome to be part of shaping the future of social services where we will work together with the needs of residents in focus!
Within our operations, we meet all ages, including children, young people, parents, individuals with harmful use or addiction, social psychiatric functional limitations, victims of violence, and people in need of subsistence support. We work with authority enforcement, needs-assessed interventions, as well as preventive and advisory services to reach people early.
We are facing a transformation where the social services sector and the health and care sector are merging into a new joint sector, the welfare sector. The purpose is to create better conditions to meet future needs and challenges through strengthened collaboration, more secure skills supply, and more comprehensive support for residents.
Work with the new organization is ongoing and may entail changes in departmental and unit divisions in the coming time.

WORK TASKS
We are expanding with one more colleague!
The Investigation Unit in Skövde has 21 employees, including SUA (with focus on introduction and development), 1st social secretary, social secretaries, and social administrators. The unit is divided into two groups, a child group and a youth group, where we are strengthening the child group with an additional position.
The child group works with investigating children's needs from 0-12 years. The child and youth group support each other as needed, and investigation work may therefore also concern older children.
Our work begins after the intake unit has initiated an investigation following an application or a report of concern. The work is conducted based on applicable legislation, such as SoL, LVU, and LSB, and we use BBIC documentation as support while staying updated on issues regarding children's needs and the challenges that exist in our environment. When an investigation concludes with an intervention, the Intervention Unit takes over for follow-up care.
In the unit, we work extensively with co-management, internal and external supervision, and we focus on having a good time together. We offer a pleasant and development-oriented workplace with colleagues who are engaged, knowledgeable, and want to do really good work for the children we come into contact with. On Wednesdays, we have group time with shared breakfast and case and method time, and on Fridays we make sure to set aside time to review the week and leave work for the weekend. We also have the opportunity for remote work based on a fixed schedule where a full-time position corresponds to approximately four working days from home per month.
Do you want to contribute to creating security and positive changes for children and families in Skövde? Then you could be our new colleague!
