Description The Integration, Subsistence and Employment Division is organized into employment, housing, young adults, and financial assistance. We are embarking on a development journey where we particularly strengthen the financial assistance area to meet increased demand and create even better conditions for those we serve. As part of this initiative, we are now expanding our operations with three positions in financial assistance. We are therefore seeking three social workers who want to be part of developing our work. You can see a film about us here: Social Worker Karlstad Municipality Job Responsibilities As a social worker in financial assistance, your main tasks are to investigate and assess the right to assistance according to the Social Services Act, and together with the individual actively work for a change in their life situation leading to self-sufficiency. We view the handling of financial assistance as qualified social change work with the aim of strengthening the individual's conditions to live an independent life. The work involves extensive contact and cooperation with other parties and authorities, and the work requires good knowledge of how society functions. We use a solution-focused approach that permeates all our work. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. You should have a strong ability to gather, analyze, assess, and communicate information, and have an aptitude for creating conditions for cooperation with both residents, colleagues, and cooperation partners. We place great importance on personal suitability. A valid driver's license is required.
